Azar Synagogue

Librarium Award Finalist

Judaism strives for a LIFE of devotion, and fosters a mindset that work is never done. The key is to incorporate community engagement with a Jewish foundation and passion. I accomplished this through architecture by the shifting of spaces, to allow meaningful interaction. Programmatically addressing the function of urban context, by connection of synagogue with community, through Jewish values. These values consist of Education, Mentorship, Entertainment and Nutrition. The AZAR synagogue design allows for spatial shifts that take place with the change in human activities. The spaces allow for these shifts to happen cohesively through plan and form.
